I'm Ali, twenty years young, living in beautiful Australia. Currently third year at university, studying a Bachelor of New Media Arts, majoring in Photography and Graphic Design. This blog is going to display my attempts at photography. I'm still learning and improving, now I just have to build an amazing portfolio and get myself out there.
Now let me introduce myself again since I've been gone for such a long time, my name is Ali, I'm nineteen and I've just completed my second year of university majoring in Photography and Graphic Design, which I must say I'm so happy it's over with. And that right there is the reason why I have 1. not been able to take any new photographs 2. had the time to blog.
University had taken over my life, so many assignments, so little time. Then straight after university was over with I had to get surgery on my arm to get my plate taken out (which then it couldn't be full removed, so I may have to get surgery again in January), so at the moment I'm typing incredibly slowly on my laptop, not being able to move my left arm too much. I would take a photo, but really it's just a massive band aid covering most of my left shoulder.
Considering for the past few days I've been bed ridden, it's given me plenty of time to think, especially about my photography. Since going to university and studying photography I've begun to hate my photos more and more, I'm taking photos that I'm really not happy with and I'm not sure what to do. So my plan is take as many photos this break as possible, and since I'm not returning to university till June next year I have plenty of time to execute these photos, even if I have to drag my little sister out of the house to get some photos I will.
Now for the next few days, or maybe all today, I intend to put up photos I have taken this year, including university assignments. I also want to do a few posts about my favorite photographers, show you some of their images etc.
My promise is to try and blog once a week, I really want to, I guess it just depends on when and if I get the time.
Sorry if this post is so incredibly boring, they will get better, I just wanted to explain myself.
